WORKSHOP LEADERS

Andrea MIOLA and Giulia PIZZOLONGO

The Miola Pizzolongo duo was formed in 2018, following a period of didactic collaboration and a common passion for the repertoire of plucked string instruments. They played about thirty shows for important associations in the province of Udine, such as the ProLoco Nediške Doline Valli del Natisone, Voci Fuoricampo of Udine, "Incrôs" of Bagnaria Arsa, "pro Musica" of Ruda, , Ecomuseum of the waters of Gemona , and international ones such as IFOTES in Geneva. The type of formation "guitar and mandolin duo" began to spread widely in Italy in the early 1900s, a period in which the music was published both by publishing houses and by the many magazines in the sector. The phenomenon continues to this day.
